Pro - its a great looking car
Cons - It doesn’t handle, its gutless and has no power, and is VERY slow in 1/4 mile tests
The biggest low is that there is a restyled mustand headed your way very soon, if you buy a mustang now, it will look old within a very short time.
Pros: It’s quick, the auto transmission is way better than the 2004, It looks great, you can customize it in about a million ways, it responds very well to simple performance modifications, and the build quality has never been better. It is pretty easy to get these cars into the 12 second zone in the 1/4 mile without using a supercharger or nitrous.
Cons: It’s pretty heavy, (weight hurts fuel economy and speed) the fuel economy is not the best, and it will be restyled for the 2010 model year. It will be a freshening with pretty minor changes, maybe a little more power, not a total fresh-start redesign. If having the very latest thing is important to you, wait for the 2010 model.
Overall, if I had the money, I’d be very tempted to get into one, if the right deal came along. Maybe you could lease one for a few years, then give it back when the new style 2010 is out. Or if you don’t like the new style, you can buy your lease vehicle.
